Betty is currently on the faculty at Arizona State University and holds the Delbert and Jewell Lewis Chair in Reading & Literacy. She was a founding member of the GLS group while she was on the faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and loves to come back to Madison to participate in this fabulous conference. Betty has had a long-standing interest in women, gaming, and the development of computational fluency. Her current work focuses on designing intergenerational game play experiences as a means of fostering literacy and language development, systems thinking, and productive interactions among adults and children. She has taught graduate and undergraduate courses on games, learning and literacies for close to a decade.
